Rolex Masters Monte-Carlo 2024

The list of players participating in the 2024 edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters was revealed this Tuesday. This legendary tennis tournament will be held from April 6 to 14, 2024, inaugurating the season on the legendary clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, under the presidency of Miss Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy.

Founded in 1897 and organized every year since 1928 at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters opens the European tennis season in the Principality. This event is the first of the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments on European soil, offering high-level competition and a unique experience to players and tennis fans around the world.

Long-standing partners, such as Rolex, BNP Paribas, Emirates, Maserati, and many others, have renewed their commitment to the tournament, highlighting its importance on the international tennis scene. The Tournament is broadcast worldwide, with more than 140,000 visitors, 38.4 million viewers and 167.1 million views on social networks. For this 117th edition, Eurosport will once again broadcast all of the matches. A system which will be completed by France Télévisions with the broadcast of one match per day on its platform france.tv and the final on France 4, but also by many other international broadcasters including: Sky Italia, Sky UK and Sky Germany.

10 out of 10: An exceptional platter

David Massey announced the registration of the first 10 players in the ATP rankings, led by the Serbian Novak Djokovic (N°1), who had an almost perfect year in 2023, with three Grand Slam titles, followed by the young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (N°2) and Jannik Sinner (N°3), winner of the Australian Open. We will also have to count on the presence of Daniil Medvedev (N°4), Andrey Rublev (N°5), who won his first Masters 1000 victory last year in Monaco, Alexander Zverev (N°6), Holger Rune (N°7), finalist in 2023, Hubert Hurkacz (N°8), Casper Ruud (N°9), Alex de Minaur (N°10), without forgetting the double winner in Monaco Stefanos Tsitsipas (N°11).

As for the highly anticipated Rafael Nadal, David Massey remains optimistic about his participation, the Mallorcan should make his comeback on clay, during the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, a tournament that he likes and which he won no less eleven times.

On the French side, most of the players including Ugo Humbert (N°14), crowned in Dubai, who entered the Top 15 of the ATP rankings for the first time, Adrian Mannarino (N°21), Arthur Fils (N°43) will be present. The final draw will be completed by 7 players from the qualifiers, as well as the 4 wild cards, thus totaling 56 players.

The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters: A renewed experience

Following on from the new village set up last year, the 2024 edition offers new features intended to enrich the experience of spectators and participants. Among them, an expanded catering offer with a new covered catering area, as well as the establishment of a “click & collect” fast food service.

On the Sunday of the final, spectators in the VIP Village will have the opportunity to enjoy a gourmet meal prepared by three-star chef Frédéric Anton, a key figure in contemporary French gastronomy.

David Massey also announced that the Tournament was once again supporting the GEMLUC association (Group of Monegasque companies in the fight against cancer) which finances research and the latest technology equipment.

More than a tournament, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is not only a celebration of sport, but also of excellence and tradition, with this year's celebration of the 30th edition of the Grande Nuit du Tennis.

A week which promises to be busy, both on the court side and on the stands side, and which contributes each year to the influence of the Principality of Monaco.
