Château La Coste, at Puy-Sainte-Réparade in Provence, is one of the most extraordinary experiences in the world: a organic vineyard of 200 hectares transformed into open-air museum of art and architecture. More than 50 permanent works by world-renowned artists and architects — Tadao Ando (Wine cellar & gallery), Jean Nouvel (barrel cellar), Frank Gehry (flag), Louise Bourgeois, Sean Scully, Tracey Emin — punctuate the 4 km vineyard trail. This private tour includes the official guided tour (reserved for 10:00 AM), gourmet lunch on site and organic wine tasting. Departure at 7:30 AM is essential to catch the 10:00 AM guided tour.

There Official guided tour of Château La Coste is the central experience of this tour. Accompanied by a specialist guide, you will walk the 4 km vineyard trail to discover the major works: the Jean Nouvel's barrel cellar (concrete and steel structure, spectacular lighting effects), the Tadao Ando's Gallery (minimalist Japanese architecture in raw concrete facing the hill), the Frank Gehry's Pavilion, the monumental sculptures of Louise Bourgeois and Tracey Emin, the XXL canvases of Sean Scully in their open-air setting, and the architectural interventions of Oscar Niemeyer, Richard Rogers, Renzo Piano. An ongoing conversation between art, architecture and organic vineyards.

His restaurant at Château La Coste, set around an open fire, offers cuisine featuring Provençal products enhanced by the embers — a unique and spectacular gastronomic experience. THE barrel cellar by Jean Nouvel It is one of the most photographed architectural structures at Château La Coste. Designed in steel and concrete with spectacular plays of light and reflection, it houses the aging barrels in a space where winemaking functionality and architectural expression merge seamlessly. A work of art in itself, it redefines what a 21st-century winery can be.
Tadao Ando, Pritzker Prize-winning Japanese architect Ando, winner of the 1995 award, designed an art gallery at Château La Coste using raw concrete—his signature material—that nestles into the natural slope of the vineyard hillside. The structure plays with natural light and silence, creating a spatial meditation characteristic of his work. It is one of Ando's most accessible projects in France.
